Dog Dermatitis Treatments – Cure Dandruff

Dog Dermatitis and Dandruff Can be Treated and Cured

Dog Dermatitis is a skin problem which can be causes by various factors, the most common being skin allergies.  Also know as Atopic Dermatitis or Dog Dandruff, this skin condition  is often caused by the dog’s inability to properly absorb nutrients in its diet – luckily this is very curable by introducing digestive enzymes into your pets diet.

Another factor that can contribute, or cause, dog dermatitis is immunological hypersensitivity, which is basically an allergic reaction to household chemicals and dust mites.  Even in this situation the problem is very treatable, again with enzymes and by checking and cleaning the living space of the dog to make sure it is free of mites as best possible.   Whether it be dog dandruff or Atopic Dermatitis, cleaning the dog’s bed on a regular basis is a good thing to do as mites are so small they may not be visible to the human eye.

The question that we always get is why enzymes for the treatment of canine dermatitis, and what about medicated dog dandruff shampoo?   The question makes sense and a good medicated shampoo is also recommended, but that alone will not provide a permanent cure to the problem.   The shampoo will treat the skin problem externally and eliminate any bacterial growth, fungus, fleas, mites, etc….  However if digestive enzymes are not introduced into the dog’s diet, eventually the condition will come back and you will continually be fighting the dog’s dermatitis.

So how do they enzymes work and what is the result to the skin problem?

Digestive Enzymes are no doubt the most effective treatment for what is broadly refered to a dog skin allergies.   This includes atopic dermatitis, dog dandruff, and eczema, and a host of other pet skin conditions.    Many dogs, probably 40 to 60%, has trouble properly absorbing the vitamins and nutrients that is in their daily diet – this is true even if you are using the best dog food and the best pet supplements.  There systems simply do not absorb these, instead they pass them.  Why is the next question.  Because dog’s are pact animals and their linage is from outdoor animals meaning there genetic diet, if you will, was raw meats, berries, twigs, and even bark.  So when they are introduced to processed foods and cooked foods, there systems do not have enough enzymes in their stomach to process the food properly.  So by simply introducing digestive enzymes into their system, they are no able to absorb and bebefit from the needed nutrients.

dog dandruff and dermatitis can be treated with enzymes

The first place you will see a difference is on the skin and coat – dog dermatitis will begin to clear.  You will also notice a new shine to the coat and  the hair / fur will become softer.  Flaking, scratching, and dogs dandruff will also subside pretty quickly.

We are always asked to recommend products and sometimes we do, sometimes we don’t.  In the case of digestive enzymes for dogs, there is a great product out there from evolutionsupply.com called Skinplex Enzymes plus nutrients.  This particular product has the right combination of enzymes for  a dog (most products we’ve seen are formulated for humans with a different label.)  These enzymes do a great job with dog dermatitis and overall skin conditions.  It also works great on general dry skin, scratching, dog dandruff, and hot spots.  They also have a nice medicated shampoo, which is all natural.
